Born from the upbeat, vibrant beats of 18.18 and the dreamy, whimsical strokes of Nước Trúc, Tukat – The Star of Dream came to life — as light as a dream, yet burning bright like a star.

Synesthesia Project: Where the Senses Collide, Art Comes Alive

Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where two or more senses are triggered at the same time, blending together instead of operating separately. It can make you taste colors or see the texture of sound.

This sensory crossover becomes the creative spark for artists, unlocking new ways to experience and express emotion.

Synesthesia Project is a collaboration between music and visual artists — a space where sound meets image, and creative personalities intertwine to give birth to truly one-of-a-kind works.

Indie Artist '18.18': Punk Rock & Love

Founded in July 2023, 18.18 brings a burst of youthful energy and raw creativity to the music scene. Rooted in punk rock and drawing inspiration from the many shades of love, their sound is a fusion of catchy, high-energy riffs and the kind of love-fueled optimism you can hear in tracks like “Vitamin Tình Iu” and “Kh/ùng”.

Each member of 18.18 cut their teeth in different rock bands across Saigon before coming together. The lineup includes Bill (guitar & vocals), Ian “anh An” (bass), with Cường Nhóc and Hạc Kim taking turns behind the drums. Though they started out in the hardcore/heavy metal scene, the band made a bold shift to pop punk, embracing fast-paced rhythms and a high-voltage sound that’s all about joy and release.

With every song, 18.18 aims to spotlight the punk spirit — not just the spiky hair or loud noise, but the deeper culture and identity behind it. For them, punk is a way of life, a form of self-expression, and a voice for a generation hungry to be seen and heard on their own terms.

Visual Artist 'Nước Trúc': Beauty Within

Nước Trúc is a graphic designer with a deep passion for exploring the nuances of language—especially through the lens of East Asian culture, with a special focus on Vietnamese heritage. Her inspiration stems from the rich tapestry of cultural legacy, drawing from both everyday objects and pivotal historical moments.

For Trúc, beauty lies in the details, and it’s no surprise that a quote by writer Thạch Lam resonates deeply with her: “Beauty permeates the universe, slips quietly into every corner, and hides within the most ordinary things.”
